National Eating Disorders Association - Long Island
2005 FREE Annual Public Conference
Saturday, March 5, 2005
9:30 am - 1:00 pm

Food, exercise and obsession with thinness has become a culturally accepted strategy for feeling better and managing stress, anxiety, and the demands of life. Increased reliance on these coping mechanisms has resulted in an epidemic of disordered eating and eating disorders.

Explore the ways in which these coping mechanisms develop. Recognize what strategies you use. Listen to the struggles of others. Become aware of new strategies for self-care and wellness.
